Good Tidings

Donna Giocomo

It was on Christmas Eve in 1995 that 68 PebbleCreek residents first met as a church in Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. The following year, they organized more formally, adopted a constitution reflecting the breadth of Christian backgrounds within our community, and became PebbleCreek Community Church. Since then, our church has had the privilege of serving PebbleCreek residents, including Sunday services and, of course, special Christmas time celebrations. As we enter this season of Advent (the four Sundays leading up to Christmas), we find things to be a bit different this year! Although we say it with enthusiasm and mean it deeply, we know it’s not the same, but please join us for Advent and a celebration of Christmas on the web at www.churchpcc.org.

Our choir is saddened that they are unable to present their annual Christmas concert this year. The choir has shared the joy of Christmas through this concert annually for almost 20 years! Many within our community have joined with us for this Christmas season event, as well as for our Christmas Eve candlelight service. We so appreciate you attending these special events over the years, and our opportunity to make them available to you.

Of course, our church will still be celebrating Advent and Christmas with special music, hymns, prayers, and much more in our online services. Although this year is different, we still have reason to rejoice in the birth of Christ. You can be sure the celebration will involve the singing of Christmas carols. We hope to be back for weekly worship in Eagle’s Nest Ballroom soon, but until then, join us on the web. Especially during these challenging times, from PebbleCreek Community Church, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a blessed and healthy New Year!
