On Dec. 9, the Gimme Girls played an 18-hole game that was a combination game of scrambles; hero ball; hitting from white, red and yellow tees; and combinations of best ball. The winners were Emma Mosley, Gayle Hubbard, Karin Smith, and Barb Chilton. Everyone enjoyed the combination format. Afterwards the group met at the home of Lynn Grice for lunch. Lynn’s helpers were Gayle Hubbard and Judy Layton.
Each year the Gimme Girls give back by donating gift cards to be given to the Homeless Youth Connection. In addition, they brought a gift that was sparkly or glitzy to exchange. To determine which gift everyone kept, a poem was read called “Right and Left.”
The Gimme Girls group has been in existence for over 20 years and still has two original members, Emma Mosley and Karin Smith. The Gimme Girls are proud of the friendship and sisterhood they share with one another every Friday.
