PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association (PCLGA) Cancer Awareness Tournament co-chairs, Debbie Sayre and Kathi Curtis, are busy planning the annual Celebrate Life Tournament scheduled for Jan. 18, 2022, on the Tuscany Falls East and West courses, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

The flighted shamble will be for bragging rights only, and all money raised will benefit the National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR). There will be a few fun side events, with payouts to thank participants for their generosity in supporting this worthy cause. PCLGA member sign up runs through Jan. 11 on the PCLGA website.

Debbie and Kathi are now accepting donations from any individual or golf group that wishes to donate a basket for the raffle. The deadline for basket drop off at Kathi Curtis’ home is Jan. 14. You can reach Debbie at 623-466-2351 or Kathi at 360-907-1555. Raffle tickets for awesome raffle items will be sold prior to Tuesday golf on both Jan. 4 and Jan. 11.

Pam Volm is coordinating the Pinwheel Honor Garden again this year. Donations to the NFCR will be $5 per name, which will be placed on a pinwheel to spin all day during the tournament. Pinwheel envelopes are available in the Eagle’s Nest and Tuscany Falls scoring rooms, or from Pam.

Following the tournament, a luncheon will be held at the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom at a cost of $21.50 per person. If you cannot play golf, please attend the luncheon or drop off your donation with a check payable to the National Foundation for Cancer Research. Remember to wear pink, come join the fun, and help to support this worthy cause.
