As we embark on a new year, I wanted to take some time in this month’s message to reflect on 2018, as well as look forward to some of what we can expect in 2019.
2018 was a very good year for PebbleCreek Operations and I’d like to talk about some of the major accomplishments achieved last year by the operations team. In reviewing the year, we were able to accomplish an overwhelming number of projects; just some of the highlights include:
* The opening of the Tuscany Falls West golf course to include the opening of our last nine holes along with the bunker and partial greens renovation of the Lakes nine.
* The master re-key of all locks, doors and buildings throughout the entire property. This was a massive undertaking.
* Improving the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse entry with new sliding doors, new stone and concrete.
* The complete renovation/remodel of the Palm Room bathrooms in the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse.
* The complete renovation/remodel of the Activities Office.
* Upgrading the Wi-Fi at all the gates.
* Numerous upgrades to the lighting throughout the property, both indoor and outdoor, to upgrade to modern and energy efficient lighting.
* Concrete, carpet and artificial turf replacements throughout the community including the Sports Buildings, Golf Shops and Tuscany Falls pool.
* Exterior common wall painting of Tuscany Falls.
These are just a few of the many projects, improvements and upgrades that were carried out in 2018. All of our departments shared in many successes as well. In some cases, we saw record years in sales, attendance and event participation. The Creative Arts department ended 2018 with the most total revenue generated since their inception. The Activities department had to add more second shows than ever in their history. Food and Beverage operations offered a wider array of special event and themed food events than ever before. Golf has seen incredible numbers with more golfers now able to put on the courses. The Community Services team reports an increase in people coming through our gates and getting serviced at our front desks. There is no mistaking it, we are a thriving and busy community and I am proud of all that our operations team has accomplished in 2018.
As I look to 2019, early in the year, we will see a brand-new Eagle’s Nest Fitness Center and locker rooms, as well as an improved Eagle’s Nest pool. Eagle’s Nest Restaurant customers will benefit from the new beer cooler being installed that will increase the beer offerings, along with improving service and efficiency. We will continue to maintain our many miles of walls and roads to include the painting of the interior common walls at Tuscany Falls and planned road maintenance will continue throughout the year. We will welcome music icon, Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits and continue to explore cuisine from around the world in our “Taste Of” programs. PebbleCreek will continue to thrive and I hope you will all enjoy what we have to offer as 2019 promises to be our best year yet!
