2018 Fall Season ended with the “Show Me Shooters” taking the Grand Championship for Bocce’s night leagues. For the Bocce day leagues the Grand Champion is team Holy Rollers. Congratulations to all.

Now on to 2019.

2019 Winter Season has started off with big plans for Bocce. Our membership is 700+ in the winter and 450+ in the spring and fall. For this season we have welcomed 49 new members to our Bocce family. This year PebbleCreek Bocce turns 20. An anniversary dinner is planned to celebrate this milestone on February 27, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in the Tuscany Ballroom. The cost is $15 per member and $30 for guest. The reservation forms will be emailed to all captains and co-captains with an RSVP date by February 15.

Moving into March PC Bocce will be hosting a charity event for Soldiers’ Best Friends. Soldiers’ Best Friend provides U.S. military veterans living with combat-related PTSD or (TBI) with Service or Therapeutic Companion Dogs, most of which are rescued from local shelters. The veteran and dog train together to build a trusting relationship that saves two lives at once and inspires countless others. This event will take place on March 18, 19 and 20 starting at 9:00 a.m. each morning. Opening ceremony, with a Color Guard, will take place at the EN Bocce Courts on Monday the 18, at 8:45 a.m. along with demonstrations showing the bond between the veterans and their dogs. Besides players from the PebbleCreek Bocce teams, they will be joined by bocce players from other valley communities. Refreshments will be served to all players. For more information and to sign up to participate in the games please contact your captain. To volunteer to help with refreshments or to help judge the games contact Angela and Ken Petter, 623-215-3146.

There have been some changes to the Board due to resignations. Angela Petter is now the contact for Registration. Tom Snyder is the new Treasurer. Bill Gavin is the new VP and I, Carolyn Rota, am the new Public Relations contact.

Save the dates: 2019 Spring League: Early registration must be turned in to Angela Petter by February 23; Regular registration will be Monday, February 25 and Tuesday, February 26 from 8:00-10:00 a.m., Eagle’s Nest Kiosk; Capt. meeting, Friday, March 22 – TF Chianti Room, 9:00 a.m.; League play starts Tuesday, March 26 and ends Friday, May 17.
