Bill Barnard
Springtime is here and with it, warmer weather and many visitors to the Valley, including here in PebbleCreek. In addition, we continue to welcome many new community members, along with many renters. With this in mind, I wanted to focus this month’s message on our Community Services Department that includes our Patrol and Guest Relations Teams. Many of our residents may not be aware of what Community Services has to offer, so I hope you find this information helpful. The services these folks provide are one of the many benefits of living in PebbleCreek.
The department, led by retired Goodyear Police Lieutenant John Singleton, our Director of Community Services, is made up of about 40 men and women who are homeowners/residents just like you. They are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, monitoring and caring for our community, property, and residents.
The PebbleCreek Community Patrol provides services such as vacation watch while residents are away, jump-starting vehicles, airing up tires, towing golf carts, alerting homeowners about water leaks and open garage doors, and installing RFID tags for your vehicles, among many other things. The Patrol team is constantly on the move in their distinguishable trucks, not only carrying out their duties but providing a presence known to discourage and deter crime. Patrollers also act as agents of the HOA to enforce PebbleCreek rules by notifying residents via notice of violation for non-compliance. Please note, however, they are not police officers or law enforcement agents, but here to provide assistance and community service. The City of Goodyear Police Department and other law enforcement agencies handle criminal law violations within PebbleCreek.
Another feature of the 24-hour service is the manned gates at our main entrances at PebbleCreek Parkway and Clubhouse Drive. Guest Relations staff members greet visitors, homeowners, vendors, and contractors entering the community. You can call them to notify that you have a guest or vendor arriving or enter the information on our Gate Access software. Visit the HOA website and look for Community Services on the PC Services home page drop-down menu. You can enter information about your residence and look for all that Community Services has to offer.
I encourage all homeowners to keep the Patrol’s 24-hour phone number on hand at home and in your cell phones. The phone number is 623-935-0387. Please call them if you need assistance. The benefits of living in a gated community with 24-hour patrol and gate presence are many. Please take advantage of the services they provide. We appreciate all of the Community Services staff members who are here to provide assistance and make it easier for our community to enjoy living your best life here at PebbleCreek.
