Al Vence, Bill Wise Take Top Honors in 8- and 9-Ball Billiard Tournaments

PebbleCreek Billiard Club members have completed the spring season of their 8- and 9-Ball Pocket Billiards Tournaments. Round-robin tournaments consist of mini-tourney events played across 8 consecutive weeks.

Winner of the 8-Ball Tournament (Series IV) was Al Vence, who earned 51 wins/points in 73 games on his way to winning 4 of 8 weekly mini-tourney events. Earning second and third place finishes were Chuck Johnson and Harold Erker with 46 and 39 total wins/points, respectively.

In 9-Ball (Series III), Bill Wise also topped all competitors by winning 4 of 8 mini-tourneys with a total of 78 wins/points. Runners-up were Jim Padgitt and Al Vence with respective win/point totals of 56 and 48.

For their championship efforts, Al and Bill both earned gift certificates redeemable at a popular local restaurant.

Other tournament players include: Joe Armbruster, Mike Finnegan, Clay Beeson, Jim Sykes, Lee Anderson, and Butch Schoen.
