The 25th annual PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association (PCLGA) Member-Guest Tournament opened with a gauntlet horse race on Sunday on Tuscany Falls East. Supervised by the many PCMGA and PebbleCreek golf pros, 196 ladies raced around the course in a hole-by-hole elimination.
After a grueling race to the 9th hole, Tesha Crelley, Pam Lake, Wendy Turiff, and Chris Urbatchka came in first to win $110/player.
Other winners were:
* 2nd place ($100/player): Karen Brown, Christine Duprey, Maria Murray, and Judy Winters
* 3rd place ($90/player): Maggie Graham, Vicki Ray, Karen Plaisir, and Layne Sheridan
* 4th place ($60/player): Judy Newell, Mary Pryor, Becky Rio, and Glenna Ververs
* 5th place ($60/player): Shelly Lewis, Lea Morse, Ruth Orem, and Deb Smedley
* 6th place ($40/player): Jayne Dinan, Kathy McGarry, Cheryl Czarnek, and Mary Petersen
* 7th place ($40/player): Barbara Curtier, Andrea Dilger, Darleen Lockhart, and June Rice
During tournament play, all 252 ladies had opportunities for proximity prizes. The course conditions at Tuscany Falls East and West remained the same for both days of the tournament to provide for the best in the galaxy. Proximity prizes were awarded in all six flights for play on the West Course:
* Longest Putt (Hole number 3): Sharon Hadley (24’5”), Jean Ostroga (11’), Nicola Witty (12’3”), Carol Peterson (20’11”), Charol Wilson (9’3”), and Wendi Woodard (8’1”)
* Closest to the Pin (Hole number 5): Elaine Reszke (9’7”), Rosanne Walchuck (7’7”), Monica Bury (11’3”), Ann Cousminer (6’3”), Amy Flinn (30’1”), and Carol Eberhart (11’4”)
* Longest Drive (Hole number 13): Kately Dilger, Amber Rivera, Patti Elzey, Tamara Beckley, Barb Thomas and Judy Worrell
* Closest to the Line (Hole number 15): Susie Forrest, Kitty Day, Kim Jackson, Donna Staples, Barb Thomas, and Cindy Tollefson
