Fitness Studios: More Hours, More Classes!

Melissa Kallett

Effective in September, the Tuscany Falls Fitness Studios will expand their hours and class offerings to align with pre-COVID operations. In addition to their current hours of operation (Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon), they will also open in the afternoons on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 to 5 p.m., and on Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon. The expanded hours will accommodate additional classes and increase access to and availability of the spin bikes.

Responding to customer feedback for additional aqua classes, Zumba offerings, and strength and conditioning classes, users will find the class schedule packed with such offerings—and a whole lot more. Back among your favorites will be Kettlebell, Strictly Strength, HIIT, Chair Yoga, and Tai Chi. New offerings include Country Fusion (Line dancing fused with four other types of dances and music), VinYin Yoga (dynamic flow yoga fused with the stillness of yin yoga), and Root and Surrender Yoga (the former emphasizing poses held for three to five seconds each, the latter featuring longer held poses that stretch the tissues). A full listing of classes and the schedule is available at the fitness centers and on the HOA website.

For those not familiar, the Tuscany Falls Studios building houses three fitness classrooms of varying sizes. Studio 1 is the largest, accommodating up to 40 participants. Studio 2 accommodates 24 participants, and Studio 3, 15 participants. Studio 3 is also home to our 10 state-of-the-art spin bikes and includes a large wall-mounted TV for viewing Spin DVDs, which are available for checkout at the front desk. The spin bikes are available for use on a first come, first served basis, whenever the studios building is open. Studio 1 previously housed the WellBeats virtual class kiosk, but that service has been terminated due to lack of use. The room will be retro-fitted in the coming weeks with a DVD system for viewing exercise videos, for use whenever the studio is not occupied with instructor-led classes.

Reservations are required for all classes, though drop-ins are allowed if space is available. Information on how to use the SuperSaas reservation system is available on the HOA website. The class fee is rising to $5 per class, though a 20 session pre-paid punch card is available, which drops the price to $3.75 per class.

Your Fitness Studios staff looks forward to your participation and welcomes you all to the studios!
