“Autumn leaves don’t fall, they fly…”—Delia Owens, Where the Crawdads Sing

Just like autumn leaves, the first fall meeting of the PebbleCreek Republican Club (PCRC) flew by, due to the exceptional speakers and honored guests in attendance. The September membership meeting garnered a great turnout on Sept. 1. The theme of the meeting was “Putting a Name with a Face.” Club members were schooled by candidates running for various school board positions in our local school districts. Contenders shared their visions, goals, and objectives for the positions if elected. Several special guests were in attendance including, Mark Yslas, Superintendent of the Agua Fria Union High School; Jodi Gunning, Superintendent of the Litchfield Elementary School District; and Tom Horne, former Attorney General for Arizona, and currently running for Superintendent of Public Instruction.
