Election Essentials: Your Vote Needed

Susan Knox Wilson

“We appreciate all the homeowners who participated in our Meet the Candidates forums this year,” said Cliff Crooks, Chairman of the PebbleCreek Election Committee. “We had a number of great questions, which really helped everyone understand the candidates’ positions on some very important issues. Now we just need to make sure everyone votes!”

If you are a registered homeowner, your household will receive an email from VoteHOANow.com on the morning of Nov. 21 asking you to:

* Go online to the voting site by clicking the link provided in the email

* Complete the voter registration (your voting code will prepopulate) even if you’ve registered in previous years.

* View the ballot, select the one candidate for which you are voting, and submit your choice.

If you do not receive your invitation to vote, or encounter any problems with electronic voting, contact the Election Committee at [email protected]. There will be only one voting invitation sent to each household, typically to the person whose name appears first on the deed.

If you prefer to vote by paper ballot, you can request a paper ballot in person from the Eagle’s Nest or Tuscany Falls front desks. Once you receive and complete your paper ballot, please return it in the accompanying envelope to the Eagle’s Nest or Tuscany Falls front desks or mail to the address listed on the envelope, taking care to sign the envelope and include your printed name and PebbleCreek address, unit, and lot number. Please note that all paper ballots must be received by the Association as indicated above by 5 p.m. on Dec. 2 to be counted.

Remember, there is just one vote per lot. The fall PCHOA election period ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2.

The Election Committee members who count the votes will use a plurality of votes to determine the winner. The HOA’s e-newsletter, PebbleNews, will announce the official winning candidate in an e-blast no later than 24 hours after polls close.
