Election Essentials: Top 10 Attributes of a HOA Board Member

The PebbleCreek Homeowners Association Election Committee is calling for candidates interested in running for PebbleCreek’s Board of Directors. The volunteer position is for a two-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2024.

“We’ve done some research to help us understand what makes a successful board member,” commented Cliff Crooks, Election Committee Chairman. “We have learned from the experts that board members who serve their homeowners association well have these top 10 top traits.”

* The willingness to share?

If you have these attributes, we need YOU to help make our community the best it can be—now and in the future.

Candidates interested in running for the HOA board need to complete the new online form found on the Election Committee page in the HOA Board>Committee tab on the PCHOA website: www.pebblecreekhoa.org. Interested candidates must submit their intent to run no later than 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1. Candidates who prefer completing a paper form can get one from the Eagle’s Nest Resident and Guest Services desk.

Important dates for all 2023 candidates:

Sept. 1: Last day to file

Sept. 6: Candidate briefing

Sept. 7: Deadline for photos, bios, campaign statements

Oct. 2: Campaigning begins

Oct. 25: Candidate Forums at 2 p.m. at Eagle’s Nest Ballroom and 7 p.m. via Zoom

Oct. 30: Election period begins

Nov. 10: Election ends at 2:30 p.m.
