After four months of fun but intense competition, a team of mostly PebbleCreek residents won third place at the Phoenix Metro Area DJ Trivia Championships held at the Bonfire Craft Kitchen and Tap House in Surprise on Dec. 4, 2023.

They call themselves the Sliders, and reaching the championship match was no easy feat. The Sliders met at Augie’s Sports Grill in Goodyear every Sunday during the summer and fall for league play. After four months of competition, the Sliders accumulated enough points to finish in second place, and they just missed first place by the slimmest of margins.

The top three teams from Augie’s qualified for the playoffs on Nov. 12. The Sliders competed against the 15 best teams from the West Valley, and they won! The playoff match was held at N-Dub Pizza Pub in Goodyear.

The Sliders and the second- and third-place teams from the West Valley advanced to the Championship match along with 12 other playoff-winning teams from across the Phoenix Metro Area. The Sliders got off to a fast start, hit a slow spot during the middle round, but finished very strong to win third place. Congratulations to the Sliders!

DJ Trivia is played every week at more than 30 locations across the Phoenix Metro Area.
