The annual Christmas caroling events at PebbleCreek will be Dec. 15 and 16 this year! Plans include lots of Christmas cheer being shared with all residents, so please mark these special dates on your calendar.
This year, the committee made up of Tuscany Falls and Eagle’s Nest residents are presenting three ways for us to celebrate and share Christmas joy in our community.
The first volunteer opportunity will be singing to our shut-ins. This event will occur on the afternoon of Dec. 16. But first, we need your help in two ways:
1) We have to identify the shut-in residents (shut-ins are people who are experiencing an illness, or perhaps the loss of their loved one/spouse). If you know of someone in this situation, please contact Ann at [email protected]. We will need the person’s name, phone number, and address. We need all names by Nov. 19.
2) We need people who will join a group that we will create to go to the shut-ins’ houses to sing. We drive to their driveways, park our carts, and stand in their driveway and sing Christmas carols. We ask the shut-ins to go to their garages and sit. That way we can social distance and share in the singing of the carols. If you are interested in doing this part, please email Patti at [email protected] with your name, phone number, and email address. You will be contacted with details. Please submit your name by Nov. 19.
The second volunteer opportunity, separate from the caroling, will be participating in a festive golf cart Christmas parade that will kick off the celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 15. Both Eagle’s Nest and Tuscany Falls groups will host a parade. So start making plans to decorate your golf cart and be ready to spread the season’s cheer. Volunteer leaders, Joe Salerno for Eagle’s Nest and Jim Sykes for Tuscany Falls, will be leading these efforts. More details will be shared in the December PebbleCreek Post.
The third volunteer opportunity will be donating food to the Agua Fria Food Bank for the holiday season. The location for food donation drop offs will be Room 100 (Eagle’s Nest side, across from the Activities Office) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, Dec. 13 through Dec. 17. We will have containers available for your donations. With this option, we are also looking for drivers to help us deliver the food to the food bank on a day-to-day basis. If you are interested in driving, contact Patti at the Activities Office at 623-535-9854 or 623-536-7233 for more details.
As you can see, we have something for everyone. So please help us ring in the holiday spirit and cheer at PebbleCreek by joining in on one or more of these opportunities.
Most of all, thank you in advance for your willingness to give of your time and energy to share the spirit of the holiday season. We are all blessed to be a part of PebbleCreek—join us and share the joy.
