Cribbage Club

The Cribbage Club held its annual meeting on December 4. The club bylaws were reviewed and elections of officers took place. The new officers are as follows: President Kaj Cieszynski, Secretary/Treasurer Donna von Oy and Membership/Publicity Gary Lind.
The Cribbage Club meets twice monthly, the first Thursday and the third Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Sienna Room at Tuscany Falls. The club is open to all PebbleCreek residents interested in playing a friendly game of Cribbage. If you don’t know how to play but are interested in learning, come join us for an afternoon of fun. If you have a cribbage board and deck of cards, please bring them with you.

Euchre

The Euchre Club meets every Thursday evening in the Palm Room at the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. All residents of PebbleCreek are welcome to attend and enjoy a fun evening of cards and conversation. All that is required is a dollar which goes toward the prizes awarded at the end of play. Here are the latest scores:
11/13: First place Rich Rugg 67 points; second place Faye Forshaw 66 points; third place Carole Hanely 63 points; loners Tom Reynolds 5 loners; low score Rosemary Willsher 30 points.
11/20: First place Rosemary Willsher 67 points; second place Bill Halte 63 points; third place was a tie between Henry Macleod and Alex Potapoff 62 points; loners Bill Greenwood 4 loners; low score Bill Forshaw 33 points.
11/27: No games were held on Thanksgiving.
12/04: First place Carole Hanely 56 points; second place was a five way tie between George Clark, Judi Ratajczyk, Monika Charlesworth, Cretia Gourley and Bill Murphy 53 points; loners Tony Willsher 4 loners; low score was a tie between Sandy Blackburn and Dave Huang 36 points.

Pinochle Club

If you are looking for fun on Thursday evening, join us for an evening of Pinochle. The Pinochle Club meets every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Sienna Room of the Tuscany Falls Country Club. Contact Denny Wallon at 935-0220 for more information. We play single deck partnership, passing four cards and occasionally three handed pinochle with a three card kitty. There is a nominal fee of $1 for an evening of fun with the funds going towards prize money.
The winners for November are as follows:
11/6: Our 1st place winner Denny Wallon had a score of 8600 points and Bob Conrardy took 2nd place with a score of 7870; 3rd place goes to Larry Coyle with a score of 7460 and booby goes to Glenn Grube at 3800.
11/13: 1st place winner Bruce Baird had a score of 8310 points and 2nd place was taken by Joe Sanzone with a score of 6850; 3rd place goes to Mike Boren with a score of 6730 and booby goes to Larry Soper at 3520.
11/20: oretta Morris placed first with a score of 7570 followed by Denny Wallon in second with a score of 7050; Bob Conrardy was in third place with 6000 and the bobby going to Marion Helton with a score of 3140.
Finally a new high of 8600 points has been set by Denny Wallon on November 6, 2014. This record will probably be around for some time since it exceed the previous high by 280 points. The all time low score of 2170 set on November 27, 2012, by Danny Payon remains in place. Will the records hold for another year? The high score for 2014 has jumped to 8,600 set by Denny Wallon and Sheril Williams has taken over the low booby for year with a score of 2870.
