Camera Club Photo of the Month

Each month the Camera Club selects a Photo of the Month and, for March, chose a dramatic desert winter sunrise photo taken by club member Lynn Warren on a December early morning hike in the White Tank Mountain Regional Park just west of PebbleCreek. The hike started at approximately 7:30 a.m. and it was quite chilly, but the reward was a beautiful sunrise with Phoenix in the background and an iconic saguaro in the foreground. Photographers love the “golden hour,” which provides dramatic lighting at the beginning and end of the day. It may be called the golden hour, but the golden light conditions at the White Tanks lasted only for about 20 minutes but provided some impressive pictures.
