PC Duplicate Bridge (Sanctioned)

The NABCs (North American Bridge Championships) are held three times a year; spring, summer and fall. The summer NABC was held August 6 to 16 at the Hilton Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. This event is structured for all levels of competition, whether you are a newcomer, intermediate player, future or past champion. In addition, NACBs are loaded with entertainment, seminars and other special events. Players from all over the world attend, with a total of 13,684 tables at this NABC tournament.
PebbleCreek Bridge members Kathy Bergman and Sue Gainer attended the tournament with their team mates Murali Nair and Sudhakar Divakaruni. They had a fabulous time including winning a knockout; congratulations!
Omar Sharif passed away July 10, 2015. While he is best known for his acting in Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago, his true love was bridge. “Acting is my business,” he once said, “Bridge is my passion.” He was ranked among the best players in the world; he was once asked why he spent so much time at bridge when he could have been making more movies, he answered, “The real question is why I spend so much time making movies when I could be playing bridge.”
