PC Duplicate Bridge (Sanctioned)

34 players from PebbleCreek traveled to Chandler for the annual Roadrunner Senior Regional which was held April 3 through 9. Congratulations to all the players for their event wins and earning master points.

During the week more accomplishments were achieved in the various games: Knockouts, Swiss Teams, Gold Rush Pairs, 199 pairs, Sunday Swiss Event (0-3000) master point.

Knockouts

The team of Kathy Bergman, Mault Mathias, Sue Woodard, Sudhakar Divakaruni tied for 3rd/4th place in the Cacti Bracketed Knockout Bracket Two to win 4.89 master points.

Open Pairs Game

The Thursday Two session Open Pair game, Kathy Bergman and Mault Mathias finished in the overalls in the C Bracket to win 2.05 master points.

Side Pair Game

The Wednesday morning side game, Joanne and Bill Korytowski finished fourth in the overalls in the B Bracket to win 1.66 master points.

Swiss Teams

The Tuesday afternoon Swiss team event, the team of Sue Gainer, Linda Smith, Vi Metter and Shay Kinney came in third in the B bracket to win 3.35 master points.

The Wednesday afternoon Swiss team of Kathy Bergman, Mault Mathias, Sudhakar Divakaruni and Pat Sohler came in third in the B Bracket to win 3.05 master points.

The Thursday afternoon Swiss team event, the team of Dave and Debbie Deal, Lynn and Peter Root came in second in the B bracket to win 3.41 master points. In the same event the team of Sue Gainer, Linda Smith, Enid Bross, Cheryl LaMotta came in third in the B Bracket to win 2.56 master points. Also in the same event the team of Joanne and Bill Korytowski, Shay Kinney and Vi Metter came in fourth in the B Bracket to win 1.92 master points.

The Friday afternoon Swiss Team event, the team of Dave and Debbie Deal, Lynn and Peter Root came in with a tie for 2nd/3rd to win 2.99 master points.

0-3000 Master Point Sunday Swiss

Sunday April 9 the team of Kathy Bergman, Mault Mathias, Sudhakar Divakaruni, Pat Sohler finished first place to win 8.33 master points.

Our games are played in the Tuscany Falls card rooms and scheduled on:

Monday at 1:00 p.m. Open to all master point levels and games are stratified based on the players attending. Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Open to all master point levels and games are stratified based on the players attending. Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Open to all master point levels and games are stratified based on the players attending. Friday at 1:00 p.m. First and third Friday for months January through May. First Friday only for months June through December. Open to all master point levels and games are stratified based on the players attending. After these games we meet in the Tuscany Bar to socialize. Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Sessions for newcomers and beginner bridge players who have less than 300 Master points. The first Saturday of the month is a workshop where we review conventions, play practice hands and get individual help from directors. Other Saturdays are ACBL sanctioned games. All players get an Introduction to Duplicate Bridge book the first time they attend.
