The newest industry on our railroad is Fox Valley Brewery, modeled in Aurora, Illinois. Dock workers are seen unloading a box car bringing in bottles, while the hopper car under the tin shed dumps a load of barley into an underground bin, to then be pumped up into the silos. From there the ingredients are sent to the brewhouse (under the Fox Valley Brewery sign). As you visit our model trains, it may seem that the layout is done – but there is always a lot more detail like this to be added.

If you missed the Thanksgiving Open House, good news – there will be another Open House on Friday, December 26 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Eagle’s Nest Activity Center. Come see all three sizes of trains running for your enjoyment.

Visitors are always welcome on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in Room 106. If you have an interest in modeling, or trains in general, we’d love to have you join us as a member. For more information and pictures, visit our website at  www.pcmrc.org.
