Well, we all realize what was written in the April bocce news article did not take place. In this issue, there will be no announcements about teams that came in first, second, or third, and no grand champions. No picnic, no prize money was handed out, and no spring session took place. That’s okay. We have a bigger opponent to beat to make sure the health and safety of all our members, their families, and the entire PebbleCreek Community come out of this the number one grand champion.
It has come to the attention of the bocce board that during this time charities that provide services are being inundated with requests for assistance. Now, it is these charities that are requesting help as their cupboards are becoming bare. Through emails, the bocce board and the team captains have approved a donation of $1,000 to be presented to the Goodyear Agua Fria Food Bank. The donation was given on April 6. The board thanks all of you for all the positive responses and support.
Let’s hope that by the time you read this we may be returning to what might be called the new normal. Take time to smell the roses, enjoy doing the things you always wanted to do.
When the restrictions are lifted and we are able to return to bocce, remember to always check Quickscores for all the updated information. Keep in mind, when this happens, all registrations will be done online at www.Quickscores.com/pebblecreekbocce.
