Bocce returned on Jan. 19 with many new players, new teams, and a new outlook that 2021 will bring us the best of health and a somewhat new normalcy.
Even though we didn’t have playoffs, we did have teams that came in first, second, and third, so it’s only right to give them big congratulations!

If anything good came from the year 2020, it was the giving spirit shown by the community. The PC Bocce Ball Assoc. (PCBBA) decided to donate all the prize money to two deserving Goodyear organizations. $500 was given to the Homeless Youth Assoc. and $500 was given to the Agua Fria Food Bank.
With the return of the winter session, it is very important to remember we are still enforcing the healthy and safe CDC/HOA instructions. Masks are mandatory at all times and must be worn correctly covering your mouth and nose. If you have no mask, you will be asked to leave the courts; we are not supplying any. Some of our sanitary precautions have been enhanced. The latest updates and current precautions that the PCBBA must take and the HOA requires, so we can have a winter session that is as successful as the fall session, can be found on the Quickscores site.
Winter league play began on Jan. 19 and ends on Friday, March 26. If you have any questions or need help with QuickScores, please contact bocce president Tom Bose at 623-398-8675.
Finally, wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year and a sweet Valentine’s Day. Remember to go to www.Quickscores.com/pebblecreekbocce for all updates.
Remember: Wash your hands often, wear a mask when necessary, keep social distancing, and, if you are feeling ill, see a doctor and follow their orders.
