Final signup days for winter leagues are set for December 8 and 9.
Excitement has been high among members in the PebbleCreek Bocce Ball Association since the start of its fall season on the beautiful, state-of-the-art courts at Eagle’s Nest. Everyone is talking about the stellar new amenities, how terrific it is to have lights and a convenient storage shed at the complex and how great it will be when the 10 foot long benches and UV protective coverings are installed.
There also is a lot of buzz going around about a pair of bandits who recently showed up at the bocce complex. So, just who are these masked marauders who snuck onto Court 8 and what do they have to say for themselves?
“Don’t get robbed of a chance to play bocce in the upcoming winter season by not signing up on time!” warns PC Bocce Ball Association President Cheryl Kasselmann and Vice President William Moser, both members of the Bocce Bandits Friday league team. They arrived in costume for their Halloween match in order to call attention to the start of early registration.
“We are a really fun group of PebbleCreekers who always have a good time when we get together to play bocce,” commented President Kasselmann who extended an invitation to all community members to “steal” some time from their busy schedules to enjoy the game of bocce.
Early registration for the winter leagues is going on now. Registration forms are available in the Bocce Slot at the Community Information Club Board across from the Eagle’s Nest Pro Shop. For further information contact Mollie McErlean at [email protected] or 623-935-2822.
Formal registration will be held on December 8 and 9 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Eagle’s Nest kiosk.
The fall league, now in its third month of competition, is winding down. The association is planning to hold its annual membership meeting and potluck dinner and raffle on Sunday January 4, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom.
