The second half of season one of the PebbleCreek three-man eight-ball league saw an increase in the number of teams participating. The league grew to seven teams from the first half, which had four teams. While not all the teams have played all of their matches due to the December holiday season, one team was able to play all of their matches. The team composed of Marv Schrock, Mark Kuhn, and Team Captain Blair Dreyfus were undefeated, going 6-0 to earn second half bragging rights.
They became overall league champions as well, by virtue of their first half win in which they went 3-0. Once the remaining teams in the second half finish their matches, the league will have a playoff to determine the overall second place winners.
Anyone wishing to participate can text Blair at 650-339-4007. There will be a league meeting to go over the existing rules and determine a new schedule for matches to give more structure to this fledgling league.
I applaud the efforts of all the team captains in securing match dates and also all the players who made this possible. We hope to grow into a 10 to 12 team league for our second season. Come out and see how you stack up against everyone else, and have some fun in the process!
