Once again our leagues in PebbleCreek prevail! The men’s 3.5 WVSL, The Beer Nuts, captured the championship for the third consecutive season. Captain Dave Henry and his team were undefeated in the regular season and finished up with a big win in the league playoffs. Congratulations, team—you aced it!

Newly formed men’s 4.0 plus league, PebbleCreek Open, Captain Dave Bee and his team had a very successful first season with a record of seven wins and three losses. In the championship final the team narrowly lost a close match of 5 to 4 to Surprise losing the deciding set in an 8 to 6 tiebreaker! Great team work!

The men’s 3.0 WVSL, PebbleCreek Men’s No. 1 Top Guns, won the championship for the third straight year! Captain Doug Friemuth and his team defeated Sun City Festival in the finals with an 11 to 1 finish. Congratulations on another great season!

Our ladies 4.0 WVSL, The Racquettes, Captain Joan Stedman, won the championship with a tremendous season finale! 32 wins with only 13 losses; they dominated in first place. Congratulations, ladies, on a great team effort!

The Senior Swing into Spring Tournament, which was held at Sun City West on March 26 through March 29, had many Creekers entering in competition. Dave Kersey and Dave Henry entered the men’s 8.0 doubles capturing the winning title with a third set tiebreaker! Congratulations to Jim McKenna for winning the Gold in men’s singles (75 to 79). The Silver medal goes to Maile and Tom Tamura for winning mixed doubles (75 to 79). Thanks to all PebbleCreek tennis players who participated in this tournament.

Luck of the Irish was our March 20 social. It was a fun filled day of playing mixed doubles tennis, eating the best hot potatoes loaded with all the toppings and our own entertainer Jerry making us laugh as he raffled off exciting gift cards. The sun was shining so brightly there may have been a few leprechauns hopping around!

Our Tournament Director John Flynn has set up several inter-community matches home and away. As of this writing our next tournament is April 12 with Sun City West and May 3 is here with Sun City Grand.
