If creativity is about spirit, energy, and experimentation, Marsha Lisle uniquely deserves Artist of the Year for 2021.
Marsha and her husband, Doug, retired from Iowa to PebbleCreek in 2005 and have enjoyed many hours hiking, fishing, and exploring the mountains, parks, and trails of Arizona.
Marsha has always enjoyed the arts. Her teaching career of 33 years in the Des Moines school district always included the arts—dancing, music, and the enjoyment of making art.
Upon her arrival in PebbleCreek, Marsha began taking an acrylic class with Bill Culpit, watercolor with John Balogh, and colored pencil and scratch board with Marsha Lyons.
All shared their knowledge and positive comments, which were an inspiration to her.
Marsha became an active member in the Art Club and has served the organization in many capacities over these many years. She consistently enters her wonderful works in art shows, winning awards, as well as exhibiting in the Expressions Gallery.
Her long-term and continued dedication to the Art Club makes Marsha a worthy recipient of the Artist of the Year for 2021.
Marsha’s art pieces are filled with lively color, imaginative details, and versatility. The PebbleCreek Art club encourages you to view her art in the display windows across from the Coyote Room for the month of February.
