The PebbleCreek Art Club held its holiday luncheon, which was organized by JoAnne Clements and Kathy Sork, on Dec. 6 at Toscana’s. Two delicious menu options were available and included a glass of wine. This year’s gift exchange theme was holiday socks. Each attendee brought a pair of wacky socks with a holiday theme and left with a different pair.
Door prizes were awarded to several members, and one lucky member at each table went home with the holiday decorations on their table. Many new members joined in the festivities, and it was a wonderful occasion for them to meet the current club members.
One of the most anticipated announcements of the year was the naming of the Artist of the Year for 2021. There is always a veil of secrecy surrounding this announcement, and even the winner is not informed until the award is actually presented. This year’s winner is Marsha Lisle, who also won awards at the annual Art Show and Sale. Her work can be seen at the Creative Arts Center, as well as at the reception desks at the Tuscany Falls and Eagle’s Nest clubhouses.
It was delightful to see so many faces at this year’s event, and even though it appears we are not quite done with COVID yet, we are looking forward to many more activities with great attendance in 2022.
