The Agua Fria High School District proudly celebrates the graduating Class of 2026 for earning nearly $75 million in scholarship awards, reflecting the extraordinary academic achievement and future readiness of students across Agua Fria, Canyon View, Desert Edge, Millennium, and Verrado High Schools.
The collective scholarship total of $74,766,654 represents thousands of opportunities earned by graduating seniors through academic performance, leadership, service, athletics, and dedication both inside and outside the classroom. Students across the District received recognition through highly competitive awards, including prestigious Medallion Scholarships and Academic Scholarships.
Members of the graduating class have been accepted to colleges and universities nationwide, including Arizona State University, Stanford University, Columbia University, Baylor University, the University of Pennsylvania, New York University, Bowdoin College, Howard University, and Auburn University, among many others.
Others have committed to military service through the United States Air Force and the United States Marine Corps, while additional graduates are entering the workforce, launching careers within their communities, or exploring entrepreneurial opportunities.
“This graduating class represents the very best of the Agua Fria High School District,” said Superintendent Mark Yslas. “Earning nearly $75 million in scholarships is an incredible accomplishment and reflects the hard work, perseverance, and ambition of our students, as well as the unwavering support from families, teachers, and staff across our schools.”
District leaders noted that the scholarship total highlights not only academic excellence, but also the wide range of pathways students are pursuing after graduation. Rooted in the District’s commitment to the Four E’s- Enrollment, Enlistment, Employment, and Entrepreneurship—students are leaving high school prepared to pursue futures that align with their goals and passions. These outcomes reflect the District’s ongoing commitment to preparing every student for success beyond graduation through meaningful academic and career-connected experiences.
“Our students continue to demonstrate that success can take many different forms,” Yslas said. “Whether they are using scholarship opportunities to pursue higher education, serving our country, or entering the workforce, each graduate is prepared to make a meaningful impact.”
The accomplishments of the Class of 2026 reflect the strength of the Agua Fria High School District community and the collective efforts of educators, counselors, families, and support staff across all five campuses. Together, the graduating class has demonstrated resilience, determination, and a commitment to building successful futures.
