PebbleCreek’s Bocce Ball delegation made an excellent showing in the recent 2016 Arizona Senior Olympics, bringing home a total of four Gold and eight Bronze Medals. Over 34 teams of 136 Bocce players competed in four categories – Men, Women, Co-Ed and Singles – during the annual event held at the Bocce Complex in Sun City.
Roger Milewski, a resident of PebbleCreek, reported that the PC Co-Ed Team Perfect Match, consisting of Ray Dubois, Patti Hodge, Monika Charlesworth and Keith Charlesworth outplayed 12 other teams to capture their Gold Medals.
The PebbleCreek Co-Ed Golden Oldie team of Carol Gwilt, Larry Blackburn, Muriel Milewski and Roger Milewski brought home Bronze Medals, as did the PebbleCreek Women’s Group team Bocce Ladies consisting of Carol Gwilt, Muriel Milewski, Monika Charlesworth and Jan Ruedlin.
