The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek is pleased to have Dr. Ilan Waskow, a practicing veterinarian for over 30 years, as a guest speaker at our General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. For this meeting, we will meet in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. All PebbleCreek residents are invited to attend, whether club members or not. There is no charge.

Dr. Waskow founded two hospitals in Aurora, Colo., and retired from full time practice in 2020. He and his wife, Meg, have been snowbirding between Colorado and Arizona since 2021. They joined the PebbleCreek community in April 2025. Dr. Waskow continues to practice as a relief veterinarian, helping clinics that have vets on vacation, maternity leave, or are otherwise short-handed. When he is not taking care of pets and their families, he can be found on the pickleball courts or the softball field. Dr. Waskow has a special interest in animal behavior. He is a strong advocate for fear-free handling of pets and helps owners understand what their pets’ behaviors are trying to communicate.

As usual, a box will be provided at the meeting for pet donations such as: dog beds, pet food (check expiration date), pet collars, leashes, toys, pet medications (check expiration date), etc. Those items not used for our rescues will be donated to other area rescue organizations.
