Curt Zimmerman

The Men’s Christian Fellowship of PebbleCreek will meet Wednesday, April 2 in the Tuscany Falls Chianti Room at 7:30 a.m. The group meets each year October through April, inviting guests to share their faith journeys and experiences. Coffee is provided and all men of PebbleCreek are invited to attend. This month’s special guest is Georgia native Randy Carter, a PebbleCreek resident, who’s topic will be Wisdom in Remembering. Besides an extended involvement with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Randy currently has the lead role in the PebbleCreek musical, Singin in the Rain.

Randy grew up in southern Georgia as the son of a southern Baptist pastor and was a three sport letterman in football, basketball, and baseball. Randy earned his B.S. degree from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo., and earned his master’s degree from National Louis University and his Educational Specialist degree from University of Missouri in St. Louis.

He served as the president of FCA at Southwest Baptist University and led several high school FCA organizations as a huddle coach. Randy also served on the board of directors of the St. Louis FCA. Randy and an associate started the Gospel Reach Organization, serving indigenous people and pastors. Recent mission work has taken him to Panama and Guatemala. Randy and his wife Kim moved to PebbleCreek in 2021 and have two children and two grandchildren and are members of Desert Springs Community Church.

Weekly bible studies are held every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the Chianti Room annex and available via zoom for those unable to attend in person. More information can be received by contacting Neil Smith at [email protected].
