And fun we had! Super Bowl Sunday was an event where 20+ girls shared their time and cooking abilities along with their laughter and goodhearted merriment. Krys O’Connell was our host and provided a Super Bowl of parties.
We had wings, pulled pork minis, chili, and tons of chips and dips. If you left hungry you missed out on some great food.
Not only was it Super Bowl Sunday, we also celebrated two birthdays with Pam Jones and Jan Pelick who enjoyed their time with special birthday chairs, cards, balloons and cakes, crowns, and wands. Each had their own cakes and there was none left to sneak a piece home.
For the Super Bowl, we had the board with squares that paid off nicely at each quarter. That made for an exciting football game. The cheering was a cross of GO CHIEFS to KILL ‘EM EAGLES.
Cards were also on the agenda for the day. We had four tables of Samba until the wind came. We lost one of the umbrellas on the roof and hair went flying in tornado style. So much for the Samba games outside! But, with some squeezing of tables in the house, we were able to continue three games all along with watching the Chiefs and Eagles battle the ball.
At the end of the day, we all gathered around the table and played left right center for a $3 donation. It took awhile to find a winner, and a big winner it was. We left the day with one thing in mind, girls just wanna have fun, and fun we had!
