There was a flash back in time on March 17 and 18 when the PebbleCreek Lady Niners celebrated their annual Member-Member event themed 60s Flower Power. It was great fun to revisit a time that held special memories for many of the Lady Niners. Everyone took advantage of the event to recreate their favorite 60s attire from the tie-dyed hippie look to ethereal flower child to groovy Go-Go Girl dresses. Many carried on the Flower Power theme by decorating their carts, bringing back visions of the iconic Volkswagen Vans of the 60s!
Event Co-Chairs Valerie McGowan and Eloise Orrell, along with their very talented and dedicated committee chairs and members, did a Groovy job in planning and carrying out the theme through every detail of the two day event. Day one started with a putting contest with the extra challenge of a flower encircling each hole marked with a flower wrapped pin. Karin Andrews organized the Putting Contest which concluded on day two with the winner, Marty McCallister, dropping in a 20 foot one putt!
As a special treat, volunteer Booze Boys were stationed on each course offering a cool beverage for the Lady Niners! The two day event closed with a delicious luncheon and presentation of performance awards. Prizes were awarded for first through sixth Places on the Falls, Palms and Lakes courses.
First Place Winners:
Falls: Barbara Sanford and Rosemary Holmes
Palms: Pam Grimwood and Bessie Arlian
Lakes: Ruth Walsh and Carol Anne Sears

Spring Fling
It’s Five O’clock Somewhere and the Niners sported their Margaritaville attire in keeping with that theme for this year’s Spring Fling on April 7. After golf festivities included tasty street tacos and Margaritas on the always lovely Eagle’s Nest patio. This annual event concludes the club competitions for the year and is a special time to recognize the achievements of many PCL9GA members. Presentations were made to the Medallion Winners with Tina Stepzinski taking high honors as Club Champion. Tina was also the Low Gross Score winner. Lynn Havens won the Low Net Score and Jan Koberg won Most Improved Player.
Other award winners were Low Gross 2nd Place Char Morrow; 3rd Place Sharon Adamy
Low Net 2nd Place Diana Martell; 3rd Place Tina Stepzinski
