Jim Padgitt

During June and July, PebbleCreek Billiard Club members launched a new series of six weekly round-robin 8-Ball tournaments, created especially for PC B-Class (average and above average skill levels) pool players.

Tournament winner of the summer season concluding July 11 was Al Vence, who won 4 of the 6 weekly tournaments and captured the overall season championship by racking up 41 wins in 57 games. To celebrate, Al received a gift card to a local restaurant to share with his wife, Linda.

Jim Padgitt earned the season runner-up slot with 32 wins, and Butch Schoen took third place with 20 wins. Marv Schrock gained Honorable Mention by winning all 10 matches he played in the June 27 weekly tourney. Other tournament players included Clay Beeson, Joe Armbruster, Len Burres, and Harold Erker.

A fall edition of this B-Class tournament series kicks off Sept. 5 and concludes Oct. 3. Tourney games are played in the PC Billiard Room every Monday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. All PC B-Class players are invited to participate. There is no entry fee or cost involved.
