4-H Youth Presentation

Ethan

Jan Stash, Director, Pet Companions Club

The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek are excited to introduce two outstanding local 4-H members, Ethan and Abby, who will be our guests on Friday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m. This meeting will be held at Sunrise Park Ramada. 4-H is a community of young people, ages 5 to 18, across America who are developing leadership, citizenship, and essential life skills. They will have some animal guests. As one of the nation’s largest youth development organizations—serving over 200,000 youth across Arizona through the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension—4-H provides hands-on learning in agriculture, STEM, healthy living, and civic engagement. Guided by their motto to “Make the Best Better,” 4-H empowers youth to grow into confident leaders through local, state, and national programs.

Ethan began his 4-H journey at age 9, starting with a single chicken and a cavy (guinea pig). Over the years, his dedicated involvement in small stock led him to the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) and the American Cavy Breeders Association (ACBA), where he regularly shows animals and competes in youth royalty and judging contests. Through these hands-on experiences, Ethan developed a strong foundation in public speaking, organization, and leadership—skills that earned him the honor of serving as an Arizona 4-H State Ambassador for two years and representing our state at both the 4-H National Congress in Atlanta and the 4-H National Conference in Washington, D.C.

Abby’s love for animals started early, tagging along with her older brothers and showing cavies with ACBA and ARBA at just 5 years old. By the time she joined 4-H at age 8, her passion had grown into a full-fledged commitment to small stock. Today, Abby raises and shows all five small stock species—cavies, rabbits, chickens, pygmy goats, and dairy goats—working tirelessly to master the care and management of each. Beyond the barn, Abby is a talented violinist who shares her music with the community through the West Valley Youth Orchestra, the Arizona State Fair, and 4-H Performing Arts showcases.

All PebbleCreek residents, whether club members or not, are invited to attend. You do not need to register, just show up.
