The PebbleCreek Tennis Club held their annual mixed doubles championship tournament on March 23, coordinated by our tournament director Vikki Constable. This event brings out the best of the best tennis players to compete for the honor of having their name engraved on the plaque in the Tennis Hut. Only the top players in each level receive this honor!

There were 22 participants in the tournament with three levels of play: 4.0, 3.5, and 3.0. Each team consisted of one male and one female player.

This year’s winners for 2023 are as follows:

* 3.0 champions are Gael and Pammy DeRouin

* 3.5 champions are Julian Bindler and Vicki Shaner

* 4.0 champions are Jim and Jill Lewis.

The weather was excellent for the best of the best games. The winds were calm and the sun was warm and gleaming. (Our winter weather this season was a little chillier and more moist than usual, so let’s call this a bonus day!) Afterwards, all competitors feasted on pizza and salad as they wound down from their afternoon of heated and exhausting rivalry. It was a perfect setting to relish the events of the day.

Congratulations to all winners, and thank you to all those who competed. Your boldness to be a part of this prestigious annual event has brought both admiration and inspiration to all of us in the club.
