March is here and even though January and February were cool it never stopped the tennis fans in PebbleCreek from playing outside, even at 33 degrees in the morning. We have some changes and additions to the club, so read on!

First: Our membership meetings will be moved up to 5:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month. We welcome input, good or bad, from all members. If you are new to tennis at PebbleCreek you might want to come to the meeting, ask questions and be introduced.

Second: Our Welcome Committee has changed a bit and now consists of Bernadine Helriegel, Joanne Braun and Linda Julius. Call or email any of them with questions about joining the club and the benefits of being a member. Note that becoming a member benefits the community, the court conditions, equipment maintenance and pays for tournaments and expenses for our tennis enjoyment. It’s a mutual good thing!

Third: The Ladies Drop In is back! Anyone is welcome to play, even if you are not a member. If you are rusty or haven’t played in a long time, this is the place to see how you do. Wednesday mornings at Eagle’s Nest, 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., courts 1, 2 and 3. Very casual, just show up!

Fourth: Our tennis Pro J.R. Lampley will be running a six week tennis program for beginners for the first 12 people who sign up. This will run in March and April. Norma Whitley is the contact person if you have questions.

Fifth: We are ordering stylish PebbleCreek Tennis Club tee-shirts in 10 color choices. Grab yours at a social for a small price with big impact to your fashion sense!
