The PebbleCreek Republican Club welcomed a full house of members and invited guests to the popular Round Table Discussions with the Candidates Thursday, February 2 in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. The program, following a Social Time and monthly Business Meeting, was of particular interest as it was basically all about the future of Goodyear and its impact on all its residents.
Round Table discussions began at each table with a brief presentation by the candidate regarding their vision and ideas for the city, followed by a question and answer period before the candidate moved on to the next table. Everyone had a chance to meet every candidate and the dialogues continued as the candidates remained after the meeting to discuss and answer further questions with many of the members.
The Mayoral candidates are Jim Cavanaugh and Georgia Lord, current Mayor. Candidates for City Council are Jayson Black, Wally Campbell, Sara Gilligan, Brannon Hampton and Joe Pizzillo, with Campbell and Pizzillo currently serving.
