Hi! My name is Buhner. For all those past Seattle Mariners’ fans my mom, Pam Wallace, named me after her favorite baseball player because when they found me at the shelter I was bald. But look how gorgeous I turned out. I had a great 12 years with my parents. They said over and over that I was the best dog they ever had and you know what? I think I was. I didn’t really like leaving the cool Northwest weather because it is pretty darn hot in Arizona. However, as long as I was with my parents I didn’t mind. I had the run of the house before we moved to Arizona, but then my mom brought home this dog they call a Dachshund. She is pretty cute, but I pretty much ignored her. Her name is Dakota. Unfortunately for my parents, I got cancer and had to leave them in January this year. I know they miss me every day. I used to love greeting them at the door with my stuffed bear that I had for over eight years and, other than missing one eye, it looked great!
My name is Dakota and I was the other dog. Even though I was small, I pretty much ran the Wallace household. Whatever I wanted, I got. What a life is that? I am only eight years old now, but for some reason I haven’t been too motivated the last two years (hard in this heat!). My parents took me to a new vet recently and I found out I have thyroid problems. Who knew? They just thought I was fat and lazy. So now I am on medication and a diet. I do not like the diet part, but hey I’ve lost two pounds already! I have been a little more motivated though (against my will) because my mom brought a new puppy home a few months ago. What’s up with that? I was good being the only dog in the house. Whatever!
My name is Blue. I’m the new one in the Wallace household and boy did I hit the lotto. This house is great! My parents take me to the dog park and for long walks (well not so much in the summer), and there is a two year old granddaughter in the house every Tuesday that likes to play with me. They talk all the time about how I am a really cute dog with my one blue eye and one brown eye. I guess I am pretty cute.
