Ten members of the PebbleCreek Hiking Club enjoyed an early hike in the nearby Estrella Mountain Regional Park on Aug. 31. While it does get very hot in the summer, the club compensates by hiking very early, as we started at 6 a.m., generally finishing by 10 a.m. Even so, summer hiking is not for everyone.

The new hiking season started on Sept. 23, with our regular complement of nine hikes a week (Monday through Saturday) that covered three hike levels – D (4 to 5 miles), C (6 to 8 miles), and B (more than 9 miles).

Check out our website at pchikers.org for more information about the club.
