Contrary to what the heading says, no managers were strung up. Instead, fifty-eight sponsor banners were hung up around the fences. Many of these sponsors have supported the PebbleCreek Senior Softball Association (PCSSA) for many years, and we thank them for their sponsorship.
Our previous article provided you with the history of the PCSSA and informed you that the organization started their 25th year of softball on Oct. 19. What many people fail to recognize is that, prior to opening day, a lot of behind the scenes activity takes place to ensure that opening day is a success. The hanging of the banners is just one of the many activities.
If you have the opportunity, come down to the field on any Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday, and see why your friends and neighbors continue to take part in this game of softball on “Our Field of Dreams”.
