Deborah Legan

On October 7, Le cercle français held a lunch reception for Mireille Le Guillou from Courbevoie, France, who was visiting her friends Jacques and Janine Drabier and Gaylen and Deborah Legan. She had attended a meeting of Le cercle français when she was in PebbleCreek two and a half years ago and remarked on the increased membership of the group. Twenty were in attendance. When asked what she would like on the menu, she replied, “American hotdogs and maple donuts.” So that is what she got along with chicken, BBQ ribs, various salads, appetizers and desserts including Janine’s famous Mousse au Chocolat. Miam, miam!

The tables were laid with red tablecloths, blue, white and red flowers representing the tricolor of the French flag and Eiffel towers. While modern French music played in the background, everyone got a glass of wine or some French lemonade and filled their plates in the buffet line and went to the dining room to enjoy their lunch. It took a long time to finish lunch with all the French conversation going on!
