The PebbleCreek Democratic Club held its annual Spring Potluck Picnic on Sunday, April 10, 2016, in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. This year’s theme was Dems in Blue in anticipation of a Democratic victory this November. Our special guests were attorney, former lawmaker and Arizona Corporation Commissioner Bill Mundell, a candidate for a seat on the Arizona Corporation Commission and Hubbard Campbell.
Activities, in addition to a scrumptious smorgasbord of salads, entrees, and desserts included a Kick-Off to Summer Basket raffle to support the club’s chosen charity in the coming year and a scavenger hunt searching for others who graduated high school the same year you did using only hand gestures to communicate the year. Once located everyone formed groups by graduation year and found at least four things they had in common in addition to the year of graduation.
Another fun game was matching 15 Presidential candidate quotations to the candidate who made the statement. No one matched correctly all the quotations and many were very difficult to attribute to the correct person.
Thanks to all the members who provided such wonderful food and a special thanks to Judy Hart, Angela Cade, Priscilla Naworski and Jackie Smith for organizing the picnic.
Our next general meeting will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016, in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom.
