Challenge projects for PC Quilters

Each spring the PebbleCreek Quilters have a luncheon. And, one of the favorite features of the Spring Luncheon is the announcement of the challenge for the following year by Kathleen O’Connell. Kathleen peruses the latest trends in quilting and selects a theme that the members are challenged to use in creating a project. The project can be as small as a pin cushion to a full-size quilt. Different themes in the past have been the use of solid fabrics and curves, log cabin pattern, music and the flying geese pattern. The theme for this year was the hexagon pattern.

Quilters brought their projects to Kathleen at the end of February and are displayed for the month of March in the large display cases in the hall of the Creative Art Center. You will enjoy seeing the many projects using hexagons as a theme as well as other creative projects in the other windows by artists of PebbleCreek.
