Cribbage Club

This month we will start welcoming our snowbirds back to PebbleCreek and the Cribbage Club. Good to have you all back in town.
The Cribbage Club meets twice monthly, the first Thursday and the third Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Sienna Room at Tuscany Falls. The club is open to all PebbleCreek residents interested in playing a friendly game of Cribbage. If you don’t know how to play, but are interested in learning, come join us for an afternoon of fun. If you have a cribbage board and deck of cards, please bring them with you.
One of our founding members will be leaving us in October; Claire Juengst and her husband Ed are moving back to New Hampshire to be closer to family. We wish them a safe move and much happiness in their new home. We will all miss them a great deal. Claire has been our secretary/treasurer for the past several years and will be hard to replace.

Euchre
Mary Ann O’Brien
Euchre is played every Thursday evening in the Palm Room at the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse.
The group meets at 6:30 p.m. and play begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. No club dues; just bring a dollar toward the prize money.

Pinochle Club

If you are looking for fun on Thursday evening, join us for an evening of Pinochle. We would like to welcome Clete Lipetzky, Stan Zdunczyk, Beverly Hume and Linda and John Hurtado.
The Pinochle Club meets every Thursday from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the Sienna Room of the Tuscany Falls Country Club. Contact Denny Wallon at 935-0220 for more information. We play single deck partnership, passing four cards and occasionally three handed pinochle with a three card kitty. There is a nominal fee of $1 for an evening of fun with the funds going towards prize money. We would also like to welcome Alex Elijew.
The winners for August are as follows:
8/7: Our 1st place winner Bob Conrardy had a score of 6650 points and Bill Hodgdon took 2nd place with a score of 6230; 3rd place goes to Mary Ann Szakacs with a score of 6180 and booby goes to John Kuck at 3650.
8/14: 1st place winner John Hurtado had a score of 6910 points and 2nd place was taken by Danny Payon with a score of 6850; 3rd place goes to Joan Wallon with a score of 6750 and booby goes to Chris Dubois at 4090.
8/21: Alex Elijew placed first with a score of 6240 points followed by Marion Helton in second with a score of 6100; Don Pallotto placed third with 6030 and the bobby going to Kim Holmes with a score of 4410.
8/28: 1st place winner was Lenny Mandelm with 6330 points; 2nd Bob Conrardy, 6290; 3rd Denny Wallon, 6240 and booby goes to Marion Helton at 4320.
The year 2013 saw the all time high score of 8320 set by Joe Sanzone on August 29, 2011, and the all time low score of 2170 set on August 27, 2012, by Danny Payon remain in place. Will the records hold for another year? The high score for 2014 has jumped to 8,240 set by Bob Conrardy and Sheril Williams has taken over the low booby for year with a score of 2870.
