The PebbleCreek Ballroom Dance Club hosts Art Walk Dinner Dance

Nancy Herrem

The PebbleCreek Ballroom Dance Club will, once again, be coordinating its October dinner dance with the PebbleCreek Art Club’s Art Walk Exhibit taking place on Friday, October 17 in the halls of the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse.

The evening’s coordinated event will begin with the Art Club’s exhibit beginning at 3:00 and continuing on until 5:00 p.m. when the Ballroom Dance Club’s Art Walk Dinner Dance begins.

After strolling the halls of Tuscany Falls admiring the artistic talents of your friends and neighbors, cap the evening off by attending the Ballroom Dance Club’s Art Walk Dinner Dance in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. Registration with a cash bar will open at 5:00 p.m., dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. and then live big band music will be provided for your dancing pleasure beginning at 7:00 p.m. We welcome all PebbleCreek residents along with the members of the Art Club, especially the exhibitors, to join us for an evening of art appreciation, dinner, music and dancing.

Menu selections will be grilled citrus herbed chicken and mahi-mahi with tropical salsa. Both come with the usual accompaniments, including dessert. Ticket cost for members is $30 and nonmembers are $35. Individual menu selections must be made at time of ticket purchase.

Tickets went on sale at the club’s September Dance and sales will continue at the Eagle’s Nest Kiosk from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays, September 23 and 30 and October 7 and Thursdays, September 25, October 2 and 9 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. No Wednesday evening ticket sales will take place until Karaoke returns to Eagle’s Nest, so make sure you get to the Kiosk on our Tuesday or Thursday sale dates; still plenty of opportunity to purchase your tickets.

We are excited to have the Arizona Swing King’s 16 piece orchestra providing the dance music for the evening. The Swing Kings Orchestra has been delighting audiences in the Phoenix West Valley for the past four years. The Musical Director is Lenny King who formerly created and directed the Chicago Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra. The Swing Kings Orchestra consists of professional all-star musicians who love to perform the authentic sounds of big band, jazz and swing.

Be sure to mark Friday, October 17 on your calendars and we’ll see you at the Eagle’s Nest Kiosk when you purchase your tickets. Tables for 10 will be available and suggested attire is dressy casual.

Our final dance of the year will be our much anticipated annual Mistletoe Ball Dinner Dance.

The club has been saving up all year to provide a fantastic evening beginning PebbleCreek’s holiday celebrations. Please see the club’s additional article about this 2014 holiday season dinner dance in this month’s copy of the PebbleCreek Post.

Remember:

“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching,

Love like you’ll never be hurt,

Sing like there’s nobody listening,

And live like it’s heaven on earth.” William W. Purkey
