For the June meeting, members and guests enjoyed a change-of-pace pool party at the Oasis. Each member brought some favorite snacks and treats, and the group saw examples of how LAZERTRAN can be used to transfer images such as photographs onto surfaces like wood, ceramic or tile. The July meeting featured a presentation on visiting Machu Picchu the hard way, by backpacking the 26-mile classic Inca Trail from Cusco, Peru, to Machu Picchu. You’ve heard of Gulliver’s Travels? Well, the August meeting will feature a recap of Adriana’s Travels as she reviews her meanderings across the western U.S. and various national parks. This meeting will be on Aug. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Activities Center, room 100.
