The PebbleCreek Homeowners Association (PCHOA) Election Committee is seeking candidates interested in running for PebbleCreek’s board of directors. The volunteer position is for a two-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2024. “As a member of the HOA board, you’ll be on the front lines of helping to plan for the future and ensure that the association is working in the best interest of homeowners,” noted Bob Paine, board vice president and liaison to the Election Committee. “If that sounds like something you’re ready to be a part of, complete our new online form and start building support from your neighbors and talking about your plan to run for the board.”
To qualify, candidates must be homeowners in good standing and available to attend HOA board and committee meetings. A director’s duties and responsibilities are described in Article V Section 2 of PebbleCreek’s CC&Rs, which are posted on the PCHOA website: pebblecreekhoa.org.
Interested candidates begin the process by completing the Candidate Declaration Form found online. After logging in on the HOA website, go to HOA Board on the Navigation bar, then to Committees, then Election. Candidates must submit their intent to run no later than 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1. Candidates who prefer completing a paper form can get one from the Eagle’s Nest Resident and Guest Services desk.
Candidates will receive more election details, including deadlines and processes for candidates’ publishing their own publicity, from Election Committee members, the monthly PebbleCreek Post and the weekly PebbleNews.
Important dates for candidates are:
* Wednesday, Sept. 6: Candidates briefing with Election Committee
* Wednesday, Oct. 25: Meet the Candidates Forums—2 p.m. at Eagle’s Nest Ballroom and 7 p.m. via Zoom
* Online voting Oct. 30 through Nov. 10, 2:30 p.m.
