Our annual fall luncheon is coming very soon to our very own Tuscany Ballroom.
Mark your calendars for the Kare Bears Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. This major event welcomes all PebbleCreek residents, where we set aside a special day that the entire community says a big thank you to all the many volunteers who help make our community a very special place to live through their participation in Kare Bears. We take time to thank those who have been special Friends of Kare Bears and those who have contributed in a special way over a period of time. We honor the contributions of all our volunteers including board members, special volunteers, unit coordinators and our office volunteers.
This very unique luncheon will be highlighted by the presentations of our prestigious Founders Award to the outstanding volunteer of the year. This award was created in honor of the founder of Kare Bears, Rayma Scalzo, and will be presented to one person that has showed exemplary commitment and service to Kare Bears and the entire community.
There will also be four “Exceptional Service Awards.” These are awarded to outstanding Kare Bear volunteers.
The Chair of this year’s Fall Luncheon, Linda Jo Orinski, has created a golden harvest theme, to enhance the Tuscany Ballroom into a feeling of fall and the changing of the leaves in a Golden Harvest. Teri Sellers will be selling the tickets for our luncheon (same price as last year – $30) and Rayma Scalzo and her committee have collected amazing items for the raffle this year! We are very excited about our new 50/50 raffle! John Cacciola and his committee are ready and excited to give away some cash to the lucky winner of the new 50/50 raffle!
Kare Bears strives to help create in a significant way, a more “kareing” and “neighbor helping neighbor” community. Kare Bears has been a leader in helping make PebbleCreek a friendlier, safer and more caring place to live. Kare Bears helps make PebbleCreek unique. Now it’s time to say thank you, Kare Bears.
The event starts at 10:30 a.m. You can buy your raffle tickets, choose the items you want to win and enjoy a beverage. Then at 11:00 a.m. the ballroom doors open. You will be escorted to your table to sit back and enjoy the piano music by our talented Muriel Long until lunch is served.
