Did you know more women die from heart disease than men? It’s true! Have you ever felt alone and scared because of heart disease you’ve experienced or that which many members of your family have experienced? Most alarming is the lack of education and support that helps us live more fulfilled lives. Do you have atrial fibrillation, high blood pressure, valve replacement, pacemaker, stents, heart attack, stroke, congestive heart disease, bypass surgery, congenital heart problems and family with heart attacks? If you do you are welcome and needed in WomenHeart. We meet in Room 100 across from the Activities Office every third Wednesday from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. We will often have guest speakers as one of our goals is education about all facets of heart health. The other purpose of WomenHeart is discussion, sharing with and supporting each other. Many of us have never felt so afraid and in need of another woman with similar experiences and encouragement that life goes on as normally as possible. Join the WomenHeart group and find kindred souls with heart disease, or the risk of it, to help you continue or regain the confidence to live the active adult lifestyle of PebbleCreek.
