Debbie George
Spring is here and so is the transition for one of the wine club officers. Debbie George, who has been the vice president and managed the December Gala the last two years finishes her term in April 2025. The new vice president is Arnold Hickey, who ran uncontested for the vice president position.
The newly elected officers will begin their two-year term on May 1. Here’s the lineup:
* Arnold Hickey—Vice President (is currently the Officer-at-Large) and ran uncontested
* Robin Anderson—Reservationist (ran uncontested for another term)
* Donna Moffatt—Secretary (ran uncontested for another term)
The existing officers who have one year left on their terms are:
* Kathy Worwa—President
* Betty Bailey—Treasurer
* Officer-at-Large—Someone will be appointed by the board to fulfill Arnold Hickey’s remaining term.
The April patio party is the last event of the 2024-25 wine club year. Mark your calendars to attend on April 15—it is for wine club members only. You will bring your own glass and taste wines from the past year’s events. There will be a buffet and music. You won’t want to miss this one!
If you’re thinking about joining the wine club, the $25 dues per person for the new year begin May 1, 2025, and go through April 30, 2026. This is a perfect time to become a member, enjoy some good wine, and make new friends. There are a lot of new ideas on the horizon—come and be part of the fun.
